A BIG CONGRATS on 500 consecutive days again! Awesome! Wow, another milestone has arrived! : ) For most GBs (8M plus) they don't seem to have the dedication or the persistence it takes to come back and post gas prices each day for other GBs! Or they just run out of gas! :( Hang onto your speed lines, it only takes one day to lose them! I'm sure you know! But, even clicking on news articles links, which are the easiest points here on GasBuddy, when you can't or didn't post gas prices before midnight will save your consecutive days! : ) WARNING! Every day GBs lose their consecutive days, many with big numbers, the #1 reason, "oops, I just forgot!" :( If you ever lose your consecutive days; that is NO FAULT of your own, please contact the mods! You asked about charts comparing gas price to oil price, it's right on the home page of Gasbuddy.

The oil company is also getting offers from other countries that want their leases drilled and offering the company incentives as well. (there are a limited number of drilling rigs available). The government then gets a say 20% cut of all the oil that is produced at that well making their money off the oil as well as a taxation of the various products produced. North Dakota has a budget surplus this year not because of taxes collected but their oil and gas revenues.
