I just hope that one of them is not Microsoft.

Don't think traffic jams will be a problem, By then the gas will be so high half the people won't able to drive.

URKiddinMee from South Carolina...
May I remind you that the President's name is OBAMA without the bizarre embellishment. You needn't agree with him, in fact that you don't, could make this thread more interesting.
However, as a citizen, you owe the office respect. Just the basic stuff you learned at home and teach your children now. Schoolyard puns belong in the schoolyard.

The problem in the past has always been poor planning. Just look at the planning for highways. They are always Obsolete before they are done.

Traffic congestion is a huge problem and vehicle-to-vehicle communication to get around congestion is a great solution. Several firms are currently developing and testing such software.

Of the 2 billion increase in world population, 1.99 billion will be walking, riding bicycles or hacking one another to pieces with machetes because of their ethnicity or religion. Of course, with Obozo's open border policy, the remaining number will infiltrate the US and jam our roads with old, mechanically dangerous pick up trucks!
(Note: Also keep in mind that this prediction is from a member of the same genetic pool which gave us the Edsel!)

So build smaller cars and trucks with smaller, better engines.

No so sure of this conclusion. Yes the world's population is growing, but so is the cost of fuel. Who will be able to afford it in the future?

Major cities will continue to develop mass transit down to a science making car ownership in those communities less appealing.

Maybe he means that the Fords out there break down more often and will block traffic?
