Glad I have an economical car. Bummer for all of those folks who decided that having a big gas guzzler was a right as an American. When I speak to my friends in Europe, Canada, Russia and elsewhere they laugh about how we whine about our prices and then do so little about it at a personal level. I for one am not depending on the govt to bail me out . . . they haven't so far and really why should they when we aren't doing much ourselves? Went to McDs today and laughed at all of the idiots sitting in line again at the drive-thru--looked across the street and there was a line at Starbucks--come one folks, who's the problem REALLY?

This is a result of Obama watering down the currency. Oil isn't going up. The dollar is going down...
We got plenty of oil. There is just too many dollars on the market...

The west coast is at the mercy of Big Oil in CA. I say that we should drill off the coast of CA to reduce the distance from well to refinery.

Happily, my farm tank is still half full with fuel I bought last fall. I’m NOT looking forward to filling in up in a month or so. That may well be my first kilobuck gas purchase.

One can have it the communist way, wait in lines for products, or the free market way to have the price being determined by what a willing buyer is paying a willing seller.

The world price of fuel is set in New York City by a group of people on Wall Street who don't give a damn about anything but their pocketbooks and until they are put in their place the rest of us will suffer. It does not matter where the oil comes from, home or abroad, or how much we use or do not use, prices are Wall Street's call. Those blaming all other reasons just don't get it, it is a world problem "Made in America".

It is considered expensive all over the world, how can there be a true political solution? The only way not to feel gouged is to buy less! Many blame minor contributing factors (like speculation!), not the major reason for the prices (the most major is that 100s of millions of consumers world wide buy, because the fear of not being able to is still greater than paying what is currently asked. Increases will stop when people no longer buy as much or cannot buy as much. It also depends on the economy (or does the economy depend on the gas price?)

Well, they (whoever "they" is) have been saying for months that it would rise so it rises like bread from yeast growth. If you continue to bellyache and complain all the time that it is GOING to rise, you are the heat fueling the rise!

Obama is laughing quietly as he watches the Country fade away into another Depression...... His dreams of destroying America (Read his book "Memories of My Father" to get an insight into his convoluted brain)are coming together!

there will be no recovery until prices get stable and that doesn't look like it's about to happen anytime soon...I'm pretty sure it's mostly speculators causing these prices to go so high...too bad we all don't have the money to play on the stock market, but then again we'd be as bad as them trying to get more profits...
