Sounds like the EIS was woefully done by the developer.

A lot of folks consider wind turbines themselves as "trashing the place".

It would be nice if those developers would develop a plan to improve the ecosystem there that has already been damaged by man, his dirt bikes and ATVs already.....
And then have a bond that guarantees that..... the property returns or is returned to its normal state........

Jawbone is a beautiful area of scrub and canyons that mostly seems to be used by off-roaders that has caused damages and erosion problems. If they are going to build in that area, they need to figure out how to mitigate those impacts.... as much as possible.

Actually, the developers have to be responsible.... and leave a light mark on the environment -- not try to use and abuse it

Didn't we almost lose the condors once before? There has to be another system to implement for an alternative energy.

If they don't like wind turbines maybe we should cut off their power. If they want to be conservationists then they don't need any grid power to operate with.

So they didn't say anything until the turbines were installed? They didn't realize they were building foundation or shipping hardware?

We need to decide, do we want to clean up the air by producing electricity from clean renewable wind power or be overly concerned about the condor and eagles and have dirty air.

If raptors or endangered birds are found dead near a refinery the oil company gets fined. It those birds were found dead at the base of a windmill there's no fine.

"Their petition is based on the likelihood of damage to the water shed, to rare plants in the area including the Bakersfield Cactus, and to heavily protected birds species."
Let me guess the Bakersfield Cactus can only be found on the Jawbone 13,000 acres???
Is that a lot of land for 116 wind turbines, 13,000/116=112ac per turbine???
Did not know that the wind turbines used water???
As for the birds coyotes need to eat too???
