Oil boom, like gold rush before, is never good for the little guy. And in this day and age, only the big corporations and their top executives win. Everyone else loses.

Oil gain is good for a number of people. There are still negative effects as well. One can involve to loss of drilling in other states. What my be worse is what will be done to the oil after being drilled. It is for sure that it will not all stay in the US. A certain percentage will be exported in order to make more business and money!

That's good for North Dakota, but I wonder how long it will be before Obama shows up for a photo opportunity to take credit for this?

Good for North Dakota but refine and sell the fuel IN the US and do not export to other countries for higher profits like Big Oil and 'spending gone wild' Barry wants to do. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle is, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

North Dakota produced 1.1 million more than California, who has a little more than 8 times as many wells is incredible!

And, for comparison, what is the production of oil in Saskatchewan, Canada, where the Bakken also resides?
We import about 10 million barrels of oil every day, or 3.65 billion barrels annually. That's about what the Bakken is supposed to yield - for oil wells in North Dakota, Montana and Saskatchewan.
I wonder how many people fell for the investment newsletter scheme in the Bakken that talked about enough oil in the shale to last 2041 years, 2 trillion barrels of oil. Give me a break!

It's good, but I don't see it helping gas prices in the least.

Good news for North Dakota. However, we don't see the cost of fuel going down because of that.

Earlier this week President Obama lobbied members of the Senate to vote against the Keystone XL pipeline. Then 2 days later he tells the American people that he's doing everything possible to lower gas prices.

And we still have an idiot in the white house that does not want to have a pipeline to move crude to refineries. Fortunately... american know how has already started using tanker cars on the rails to move the black gold.
